Erika Amato

Erika is an award-winning actress, singer, and musician with over 3 decades of professional performing experience across many genres of music: from classical and jazz to rock and musical theatre. Erika began singing in elite choirs, a cappella groups, and vocal ensembles in elementary school, and she still sings in professional a cappella groups to this day.  Just a few recent theatre credits include: National Tour: FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL (Miss Wilde). Off-Broadway: SIGNS OF LIFE (Berta); THE SPHINX WINX (Cleopatra), TRIUMPH OF LOVE (Hesione). Regional: AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (Mme Baurel), CINDERELLA (Madame – BWW Nomination), BIOGRAPHY (Marion – BWW nomination), INTO THE WOODS (The Witch – BWW Nomination), THE SECRET GARDEN (Mrs. Winthrop), HAIRSPRAY (Velma Von Tussle), …FORUM (Domina), CINDERELLA (Fairy Godmother), SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES (Bad Fairy - LA Ovation Nomination), ANYTHING GOES (Reno Sweeney - ITL Awards Nomination), and NINE (Luisa - OC Register Best Actress). TV/Film credits include “Raising Kanan,” “Silent Partner,” “1 out of 30,” “The Half of It,” "Quantum Leap," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "A Couple of Days and Nights," "Friends and Strangers," and "Enchanted." Erika has also released 5 albums with her band Velvet Chain, for which she was lead singer and co-songwriter.
