The session at 305 West End Assisted Living & Memory Care was electric. Our audience grew to over 30, and several seniors even danced with us.
When Suzanne kicked us off with “I Got Rhythm,” her gorgeous voice enticed everyone to sing along. She also sang “Danny Boy,” dear to her heart because she sang it with her late grandfather.
The audience loved hearing the story of Emily’s special connection to the musical LITTLE WOMEN before she sang “Astonishing” from the show.
The audience’s favorite song to dance to was Anna’s beautiful performance of the jazz standard “Sway.” When she closed out the session with “I Dreamed a Dream,” they gave her a standing ovation.
Jeff perfectly played his first session with us as an accompanist. Welcome, Jeff!
We can’t wait to return next month.
