December 9, 2022
It was a beautiful afternoon of music and storytelling at 305 West End. Sarah kicked the session off with a little Rodgers & Hammerstein. Nicole brought tears to the residents' eyes with “Musetta’s Waltz” from “La Bohème.” Jordan crooned “Stardust.” We kept the hits rolling including Henry Mancini, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick.
We rang in the holiday season with the classic, “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” Our accompanist and sight-reader, Matt, brought so much beauty to each piece. Residents and visitors held hands during Nicole’s stirring performance of “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.” We closed out with a celebration for the December birthdays.
As always, the holiday season reminds us that music is a balm for the soul, and we’re so grateful for the residents at 305 West End for the opportunity to connect with each other through song.
