About Session

From SFYS Artist Maggie Elizabeth May:

We were thrilled to partner with the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for their special “Something for ALZ: Summer Vacation Series!” The program was sponsored in part by the New York State Department of Health.

Highlights: Marta, zooming in all the way from Bulgaria, wooed us with the classic "L-O-V-E!" popularized by Nat King Cole. Beth’s rendition of “Cockeyed Optimist” revealed her true spirit of optimism we always love to experience at our sessions. I was happy to share one of my favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein tunes, “The Sound of Music”. Finally, Kayla, with a soprano voice as smooth as silk, closed out our hour-long session with a stunning “I Could Have Danced All Night.”

It was a wonderful celebration of the music that touches our hearts. We can’t wait to reunite with the Alzheimer’s Association - Hudson Valley Chapter audience again in October!
