About Session

From SFYS Artist and Facilitator Napoleon Douglas:

A beautiful session with our friends at Central Harlem is exactly what we required: between the pandemic, unemployment, and a myriad of other worries that can bring us down, the love that we get from this community of seniors is precisely what this world needs.

This afternoon of song, delivered by Michel and myself, also welcomed a newer recruit to the SFYS family, Madison Micucci: Boy, is she a treat. She gave a powerful performance of “Natural Woman” that had all of the ladies (and me) feeling fine. However, it was her rendition of Otis Redding's “The Dock of the Bay” that touched everyone in attendance. During our post-session fellowship, multiple listeners shared how Redding’s lyrics really spoke to them during these times. We are so grateful to have you on board, Madison - welcome to the SFYS Family! Always a great day with Central Harlem.
