The spirit of New York City was alive at Encore Community Services today! The audience packed the room and was so excited to see us. We all felt honored to entertain them for the lunch hour.
The audience was clapping at the first measure of “Don’t Rain On My Parade” as Ro kicked off the session. Then she brought the house down with her soulful rendition of “A Natural Woman.”
Next up, Cat gorgeously sang the love songs of the session with “Will You Still Love Me,” “L-O-V-E” and “Dream A Little Dream” while the audience swayed in unison.
When Emily sang “Hit Me With A Hot Note,” a senior invited her to do a kick line! Ron shook his hips to laughs during “My Wife The Dancer.” He had everyone on their feet with raucous applause as he sang “Impossible Dream.”
It was a beautiful day of joy and music with Jeff accompanying everyone on the keys! Several members said they cannot wait until we are back in December.
