The moment Emily greeted the audience with “We are Sing For Your Seniors,” everyone cheered and clapped. We prepared a wide range of songs for this special audience, which Mark, our accompanist flawlessly played throughout the session.
Adam sang a set of songs from movie soundtracks. He had everyone dancing to his Elvis Presley homage as he ended with "Viva Las Vegas.” When Isabella belted the end of “What Baking Can Do” from WAITRESS, the audience gave her a standing ovation. Then the warmth of Ren’s voice during “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” made us all cozy on this bitter cold day. Robin’s gorgeous rendition of “My Funny Valentine” put the whole room in a lovely mood ready for Valentine’s Day.
Several seniors spoke with us afterwards to say they cannot wait for the next session, and we feel the same.
