We were so happy to be back at Inspīr on Sunday afternoon.
One senior asked, “Where is the action today?” An Inspīr employee answered, “Well, the Super Bowl is on.” Our senior responded, “That's not my cup of tea. I’m here for the music!”
That’s when I knew we were going to have a wonderful session today.
I opened with “Someone To Watch Over Me” in honor of Valentine’s Day. The seniors relaxed and smiled as they heard songs they knew from their childhoods.
Susan got everyone singing the callbacks along to “Goody Goody.” She also gave us a lovely “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again” by the incredible Burt Bacharach.
Kimberly sang “Second Hand Rose” in her booming voice. One of the seniors cheered her on saying, “Simply wonderful!” She also got some of the audience to tap their feet along to “Blue Skies.”
We were grateful to share this time together and will be back for another session next month.
