We were thrilled to perform for the Neighborhood House today, and were also joined by our new friends at Balfour Senior Living in Colorado. Everyone was excited to share the joy of being able to Zoom in from all over the country for this special hour together.
Tiffany, who always tells wonderful stories and shares interesting facts about her music, sang some gorgeous jazz blues including “Lover Man.” Sara opened with “Touch the Sky” from “Brave,” which was the first time I heard that song at a SFYS session. Meghan, funny as ever, brought props and some of her favorite songs, like “Maybe They’re Magic” from “Into the Woods.”
Brandon was joined by his friend Brian on guitar. Together they made a fabulous duo on “Gibby’s Joint.” It was so cool to hear songs played on the guitar. They closed us out with “Wonderful World,” which was the perfect ending to this wonderful session.
At the end, our seniors, families and friends shared some powerful words: “This is lovely…Appreciate all your beautiful voices!” “Thank you for your wonderful singing everyone! …This was such a pleasure to listen to your lovely music!”
We can’t wait to be back for our next virtual session!
