The cold New York City day gave way to a warm and cheerful session inside of The Lenox Neighborhood House thanks to our big and generous audience! We had a very talented group of volunteer artists, including our accompanist, Noah. He played several piano solos in the middle of some of our songs with the audience cheering him.
While Ren sang “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”, an audience member played air drums, and others sang along to the well-known tune. Adam delighted the audience with “Old Devil Moon” so much that one woman and her caretaker swayed back and forth to the beat. As Christine sang “Sleigh Ride,” a quiet gentleman in the back row sang “giddy up, giddy up” along with her.
To close out our performance, Ron dazzled with “My Way.” Watching the folks mouth the words was lovely. Even the staff were singing along. It was yet another wonderful day for Sing For Your Seniors.
